Coronavirus Update from Curtisward

Here at Curtisward, we have been closely following the government guidelines regarding the Coronavirus to ensure the safety of ourselves and our customers.

As a husband and wife team, we are following goverment guidlines for social distancing with others whilst continuing to get your orders out to you via our Internet Only company. There is no immediate change to the two of us being able to continue to despatch goods as normal.

We are confident that our stock inventories shown on the web site are as current and accurate as possible so you can order knowing that the item is here and ready to be despatched.

However, many of the overseas manufacturers have already ceased production for at least some weeks and many UK suppliers have now notified us that they have had to follow suit. Therefore, stocks of some items may run low or sell out completely over the next few weeks. Please refer to the stock quantity shown on each item when looking to purchase.

Update 29/05/2020

After a long period of many manufacturers and suppliers having to remain closed, we are now seeing most re-open, albeit with a skeleton staff. Stocks are now reaching us but lead times are quite long in some cases. 

We are, also, in contact with our courier services and have been reassured that they are coping with the increased number of consignments they are having to handle. However, the dramatic increase may cause delays in delivery.

Update 29/05/2020 The Royal Mail put out a statement on the their web site to say that delays are occurring but they are endeavouring to get mail delivered as soon as possible. As a result of the issues, they have suspended some services. -https://www.royalmail.com/d8/coronavirus-changes-service 

We have been advised that they are prioritising First Class post (our standard service) but that delays may still occur. Delays will depend on the route around the country and which depots are worst affected so how long a delay may be and which consignments will be slowed down is unpredictable. We would, therefore, advise all customers to allow more time for delivery of your goods.
