In the mid-1950's, Artists and scientists were working closely together to perfect a fast-drying paint that would be resilient to humidity and wet and could be applied to any number of surfaces. As a result, an American company, Permanent Pigments, launched the first commercially produced, water-based Acrylic Paint - Liquitex Soft Body. Today, Liquitex offers the largest array of vibrant acrylic paints, mediums and tools to enable acrylic artists to continually explore their art and take it to new and unprecedented boundaries.
