Arches

Arches paper-making began in 1492 in the village of Arches, south of Epinal, North East France. The Arches Mill was involved in making paper for the first printed books, including works by Durer, and a little over 300 years later, for works commissioned by Napoleon.
Since it began, Arches has stood for professional quality for Artists and, with quality cotton, natural gelatin size and traditional practices giving a stable paper with a natural grain and great wet strength, their reputation endures.
